Cotton Havins

Elroy “Cotton” Havins leaning up against a car with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I am not sure when or where this photograph was taken. Although it was probably taken in the late 1920s or early 1930s. I do not know the make or model of the car. Elroy was the son of Thomas Tolbert Havins, Jr. and Florence Lucinda Brown. The 10th of 14 children, he was born 16 Oct 1906 in Goldthwaite, Texas. Elroy died young. He was living in Riverside, California working as a bus driver when suddenly died at the age of 44 in July of 1951.
